Carlo Ancelotti on How Real Madrid Plans to Beat Barcelona to La Liga Title

Carlo Ancelotti said Real Madrid will consider each of the remainder of their La Liga 22/23 games as their last one as they aim to beat Barcelona to the league title.

Speaking ahead of Real Madrid’s La Liga match against Osasuna, Carlo Ancelotti was asked about the La Liga title race. The Real Madrid manager said their objective is to keep putting pressure on Barcelona.

When asked how Real Madrid plan to cut the eight-point gap they have with Barcelona in the La Liga 22/23 campaign, Carlo Ancelotti said: “We have to think that the next game is the last one and that is what we are doing.

Real Madrid, who romped their way to a 4-0 win over Elche in their most recent fixture, will be aiming to pick up their second consecutive La Liga win when they face Osasuna.

Osasuna comes into the game against Real Madrid on the back of their 0-0 draw with Real Valladolid. When asked about their game against Osasuna, Carlo Ancelotti said: “It’s going to be a difficult match in which we have to have attitude. The team is in a good dynamic and we will fight tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid now have 48 points from 21 matches in La Liga so far this season. Barcelona, meanwhile, have 56 points from 21 matches. If Real Madrid picks up a win against Osasuna, they will reduce the gap on Barcelona to five points, but the Catalan outfit will have a game in hand to restore an eight-point lead.

The match between Real Madrid and Osasuna will kick off at 1:30 am Indian Standard Time on February 19.
