Chelsea Star Christian Pulisic Excited to Play for Graham Potter

Chelsea attacker Christian Pulisic is looking forward to proving himself to the Blues’ new manager Graham Potter.

Chelsea have appointed Potter as their new manager after parting ways with Thomas Tuchel. The Blues relieved Tuchel of duties after their below-par start to the 22/23 season.

The Premier League side then kicked off their Champions League 22/23 campaign with a match against Dinamo Zagreb in the group stage. They fell to a 1-0 defeat in that game, following which they sacked Tuchel.

He added: “I have a fresh start now, and I’m excited to play for the new manager. So really just looking forward to it. I just have to prove myself, as everyone does, and as I’ve done before.

Meanwhile, Pulisic had fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea under Tuchel. The USMNT international was also linked with a move away from the Stamford Bridge outfit in the summer transfer window.

However, he eventually stayed put at the Premier League side but has mostly been restricted to appearances off the bench.

He has so far featured in eight matches for Chelsea but has only had 177 minutes of game time. Pulisic will be looking to improve his game time at the Premier League side following Potter’s arrival.

Chelsea faced RB Salzburg in the Champions League in Potter’s first game in charge of the Blues. Pulisic made a short appearance off the bench in that game, coming on in the 84th minute.

Meanwhile, Chelsea returns to action after the September international break. The Blues will face Crystal Palace in an away fixture in their next game in the Premier League. They will be looking to earn all three points and close the gap on league leaders Arsenal to five points.

Chelsea will then face AC Milan in their Champions League group stage. They are without a win in the Champions League this time and will be aiming to secure a win over the Italian side.
