Manchester United Transfer News: Christian Pulisic, often hailed as “Captain America” by the fans is a winger currently playing in the premier league for Chelsea. The United States Men’s National Soccer Team captain could be wearing the red shirt for United soon.
The 23-year-old American costed Chelsea 58 million pounds. Pulisic signed a transfer deal and moved from Borussia Dortmund to Chelsea in January 2019.
The player has since then found it difficult to be included in the starting XI of Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
Sky Sports and the Athletic have confirmed the USMT captain as Manchester United’s target as the transfer window is soon to be closed.
The player has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea and is looking to play more minutes ahead of the upcoming World Cup.
Christian Pulisic has been on Jurgen Klopp’s radar for a long. The manager even made a bid in 2019 to sign the winger but the 10-million-pound bid fell short for the American captain.
Christian Pulisic could be seen playing against the Reds if Manchester United get their way. The loan interest of Manchester United has been a long-term Liverpool target and one of Klopp’s favorites.
Manchester United will face Liverpool at Old Trafford next week. Both teams had a poor start to the season. Both teams desperately need the point on the table to ensure stability in the English Premier League.
Liverpool only managed to score 2 points out of six with disappointing draws. Their last fixture against Crystal Palace ended up with a red card for Darwin Nunez.
On the other side, Manchester United has failed to score any point on the table. The Red Devils have faced two disaster losses. United lost 2-1 to Brighton and was thrashed by Brentford ending up with a 4-0 defeat.
After years of Chelsea uncertainty, Pulisic is in talks with United for a loan move, and if the Red Devils get their way the Klopp prodigy might be lined up against Liverpool at Old Trafford.
There is no denying the fact that Klopp has been an admirer of 23-year-old American Winger, “. But I like him and it’s not like that could be the problem. We respect contracts still and there is no market that I know about at the moment,” said Klopp back in 2018
