Pep Guardiola Sends Premier League Title Warning to Manchester City
Pep Guardiola has warned Manchester City that it is over for them in the Premier League title race if they lose any of their remaining games in the English top flight this season.
Arsenal and Manchester City are also set to square off towards the end of April in a fixture that could prove to be crucial in deciding the winners of the Premier League.
Speaking ahead of Manchester City’s upcoming game against Leicester City, Pep Guardiola warned his side that they cannot afford to drop points if they want to win the Premier League title.
The Manchester City manager added: “I have doubts about that experience. I need more years like [Roy] Hodgson. The reality is we are six points behind no guarantee we will win the games ahead. There is no team better than Brighton in modern football. Arsenal is no guarantee. We need to win our games, that is the reality. At the end of the games, we will see the reality.”
Manchester City’s destiny is in its own hands and the same can be said about Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Manchester City goes into the game against Leicester City on the back of an impressive win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final first leg. Manchester City brushed aside Bayern 3-0, courtesy of goals from Rodri, Bernardo Silva, and Erling Haaland.
Leicester City, meanwhile, languishes at 19th in the Premier League points table with 25 points from 30 matches. They head into the fixture against Manchester City on the back of three consecutive defeats.
The match between Manchester City and Leicester City will kick off at 10:00 pm Indian Standard Time on April 15.
